On Oct. 13, 2018, more than 100 people turned out in the gorgeous autumn weather for the Second Annual Fall Festival at Life Care Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, Tennessee.
Guests of all ages (from the facility’s residents to community children) enjoyed free food and games. Associates volunteered their time to serve hot dogs, funnel cakes, cotton candy, popcorn, nachos and cheese and drinks. Carnival-style games included shooting hoops, a football toss, a balloon pop, ping-pong ball bounce and a board maze. Kids loved the inflatable bouncy house, slide, Velcro wall and obstacle course.
Setting the tone for the event was the Borderline Band, playing live music during the festival.
Guests could also enter to win one of eight prize baskets donated by local hospice, home health groups and apple orchards.
“Associates who were serving the food said everyone was appreciative and all the kids were thanking the game attendants for the prizes and candy,” said Tim Harris, maintenance director. “We waited a couple weeks later than last year, and it was much cooler and more enjoyable for everyone there.”
